Summary
Tony's project of collecting Avengers (the only original set!) is disrupted when Pepper breaks up with him. However, despite their less than cheerful host, the rest of the team ends up gathering in the new Avengers Tower, slowly turning into an actual team. When Tony's post-breakup behavior turns out to have long-term consequences, the rest of the team are there to help, and somehow, the world survives the transition to Tony's Avengers without anything exploding.
Or, the one where Steve talks to gravestones, Phil offers to trade a mint-condition card, Clint sits on top of the bookshelf, Tony comes out as bi on live TV much to his own surprise, the Hulk is a rather reliable babysitter, Natasha doesn't get to murder anyone, and there is disappointment abound because Rhodey has clothes on. And Pepper has a headache because of the Avengers, but then that is nothing new.

Summary
Clint has been tense ever since Phil came back. Phil wants to get back to where they were before his presumed death, and perhaps more openly so. More importantly, he wants Clint to stop thinking for long enough to get some rest. All this is made easier by a thin length of leather.

When Tony is brought down in battle, Steve thinks it couldn't be worse -- until Hawkeye is badly injured. Phil gets protective of his mate, Steve is still somewhat freaked out by alpha dynamics, and Tony is utterly unafraid no matter how much Phil growls.

Summary
After the Chitauri attack, the Avengers try to get their lives back on track. As relationships break and new ones are forged, not all gone friends turn out to be gone forever, and new people join the band of heroes, a miserable bunch of misfits somehow turns into a very large family.
This doesn't mean everyone is always going to be happy, of course, or that nobody ever gets hurt, but Coulson turns out to be a damn good babysitter, even if magical instruction is probably best left to those capable of it.

Summary
It's a new world and a new century, and Steve's still not entirely used to being an alpha. Throw in a developing relationship with Tony (who seems to have replaced the sun at some point, because Steve's world is busy revolving around him), the murky world of alpha dynamics, beta Bruce's problems with alpha Hulk, and Clint's inability to stay out of trouble no matter what his dear mate tries, and he won't have time to worry much about his beta past.
(Natasha seems awfully amused at the whole mess. Steve is not going to tell her she can't laugh. His anatomy has been rearranged often enough)
