Or rather that he comes up with awesome plans and then halfway through sees more opportunities for mischief and he just can't help himself from taking them, but on Midgard he's got Clint. And Clint is efficient, disciplined and smart and he'll do whatever it takes to keep his boss on track.

Loki is the rather reluctant imaginary friend of a 6 year old girl, and even though he has important tasks to attend to, such as letting the frost giants into the weapons vault, and trying to take over Midgard, he keeps getting dragged back into her world.

As punishment for his crimes Loki was sentenced to treatment by the mind healers, who unfortunately got all their information on family therapy second hand from Thor. After his treatment, and despite being a full time member of the Avengers, Loki isn't exactly feeling great. Tony, being the helpful and generally annoying guy he is, decides that all Loki needs to cheer him up is a distraction, so he talks Loki into teaching him magic, but not everything goes to plan.
A follow up to my fics Better Teamwork Through Dragon Hunting and I used to be a god, but then I took an arrow to the eye, but I tried to write it like a standalone story so hopefully it should still make sense if you haven't read the others.

I anon posted this back in May, but it had a lot of errors, so I have cleaned it up considerably from it's original form and posted it here.
Despite outward appearances this is not a Woobie Loki fic. Please note that this is quite dark, with character death, injury, self harm, suicidal thoughts, blood, violence and gore (although most of that happens 'off camera' as they say) so if that will upset you please don't read :-)
It was written for this prompt on Norsekink: "After Loki falls from the Bifrost Odin finds him and brings him home. Stripped of his powers and imprisoned in the dungeon, Loki protests in the only way he can – by self harming and refusing food in an attempt to starve himself to death."

Working with the Avengers is his way of paying back Midgard for the lives he took, but Clint has his own beef with Loki. When Loki asks what price Clint would like him to pay for mind controlling him Clint repeats the whole arrow through his eye thing.
Loki agrees. It's a pretty fair price as far as he's concerned. He's not exactly looking forward to it, but hey, he'll have a family resemblance going for once. Whether or not Clint has him go through with it or changes his mind and asks for something else is up to you."
Technically this is a sequel to my fic Better Teamwork Through Dragon Hunting, but it's written like a one shot so it's not necessary to read the other fic first to understand it.
