  2. Summary

First chapters of the Khan-is-not-such-a-bad-guy-after-all.....and the last!
There would be differences from the original STID....mostly in Kahn’s background story...especially about the “Buzzers”....which are borrowed from Enders Game (the “Summers”). This story starts in Star Trek Into Darkness, somewhere between where Jim is alive again and the memorial speech before the USS Enterprise flies away out into space on it's 5 years mission.
Sorry if there is any grammatical mistakes or other language mistakes. English is not my native tongue or should I rather say “native pen”? I would so much appreciate feed-back. And of course: I have only borrowed the characters from Star Trek.

    Summary

Hanging was seen by many people as a quick and painless death, but there are actually four different ways for this method. The Oxford English Dictionary states that hanging in this sense is “specifically to put to death by suspension by the neck.“

The first method of judicial hanging is the Suspension. The weight of the body causes the tightening of the noose around the trachea neck structure. There is no struggle and the person often goes immediately limp because their jugular vein and carotid arteries are blocked and the blood flow to the brain is reduced. Death by strangulation takes about ten to twenty minutes. It is presumed to be very painful due to the victims struggle for air against the compression of the noose and against the weight of the body.

    Summary

It seemed that Lestrade's salt-and-pepper hair grew in the same on his face as it did on his head. His beard was bristly, patchy, viscerally appealing in a way that had little to do with aesthetics and more to do with masculine sensuality. Mycroft was stood rapt, conjuring up the rough brush of the beard against his lips without having moved an inch. His apprehension dropped away, lost behind a painful stab of want.

Christmas, when he and Lestrade had both been strong-armed into growing beards for a cause, proved to be the turning point for the whole desperate, shattering, uncomfortable scenario.

    Summary

Get in loser, we're going shipping.

This is my version of life after The Final Problem.

The last episode of season four, but it also contains elements from the entire fourth season.

    So yeah...

    Obvious spoilers.

Don't come after me with torches and pitchforks if Y'all don't take a moment to read my summary.

    But I digress.

This fic contains RIDICULOUS amounts of smut since the BBC won't let us have nice things.

    But smut with a plot.

I hope that my fic will make you laugh and also give you a good dose of the FEELS.

This is SUPPOSED to be a mostly happy story because fuck knows we need one after season four.

    But.

Like Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, I'm a slight masochist and a bit of an evil bastard.

So, naturally, It'll be fine and dandy for a suspiciously long time and then suddenly...

    All of the shit.

Will hit all of the fans.

    Summary

The metaphor is imperfect but still workable. If my long term memory is a hard drive, then my short term memory is RAM. The hard drive became read-only following the illness. New data is stored in RAM and can be used while I remain awake. Going to sleep – ‘turning off’ – wipes the RAM, returning the system to what it was prior to the illness.

    Summary

It was stupid to think they let so much time pass by them since there was literally nothing stopping them from being together. They just needed a little nudge, and neither of them had been willing of giving that same nudge, until now. John was ready.
