For Kalaryx, who said "I'm very fond of the All Hail Megatron series at the moment and would love something exploring the ways in which Mirage coped with being the one everyone seemed to point the finger at." Accused by his team mates of not being worthy of the Autobot symbol on his chest, Mirage justifies his choices.

Six years ago, without the Avengers Initiative there to save the day, scientist Dr. Eric Selvig sacrificed himself to save the world, the almighty demi-god Thor was lost to a terrible storm, and vigilante Iron Man – spotted with a nuclear weapon trying to take advantage of the situation – was forever labelled an enemy of SHIELD.
This is a comic book office AU, where Steve is defrosted a year too late, Thor has forgotten who he is, and no one knows Tony is Iron Man.

BAMF!Stiles is my favorite. I'll admit the jumping around was a little disjointed and kept making me want to skip to the next bit so that I could get back to where the cliffhanger left off, but the writing was *superb* and the fight scene very moving.
Definitely on my re-read list!

Tony Stark, an unremarkable day laborer in the gulag in Izhma, has been deemed too much of a liability to be allowed to remain in Soviet control. Steve Rogers, one of SHIELD's top operatives, is sent undercover into one of the USSR's many internment camps with the specific instructions to retrieve him.
The plan was simple, which, in hindsight was the first indication that everything was about to fall apart.
