Summary
Initially spawned from a simple, idle question: "Who, if not Shepard?" This Alternate Universe story explores the tumultuous relationship of a pair of young Marines -- one a reluctant hero of war (Alenko), the other a reluctant returnee to civilian life (Shepard), and both reluctant prisoners of circumstance -- as they struggle to make sense of a galaxy that often doesn't make sense.
