I love and I highly recommend this series. It takes postpartum depression to a whole new level, and it also highlights the insanity of a male pregnancy and the mental and physical trauma that it is to a male like Steven. That having been said, I think that I enjoyed reading it mostly because there was some meaty dialog rather than the pure narrative of the characters' thoughts and feelings with the occasional one or two word dialog. I am a dialog junkie be cause to me it makes the characters three dimentional and realistic both in emotion and animation, and azziria's dialog does that, also the narrative portions (for you narrative junkies) still outweights the dialog, however, it wasn't long winded nor repetitive other than as emphasis. I do highly recommend this story arc, it is well written and beta'd, and true to the authors warnings, I too recommend taking it with a grain of salt since it's not your typical "happily ever after".
I do sincerly hope that this excellent writer, AZZIRIA, writes the next arc of Jack and what would happen to him and his mental being to find out that his beloved Uncle Steve was the one who conceived him, birthed him, and shattered because of him forcing his life to change and remake himself into much less than he was. I wonder how Jack would deal? Read it, it is the bomb!
