Summary
Subroutine is a series that takes the elements of the two TRON Universes -- "TRON 2.0 (2003)", "The Ghost in the Machine" and "TRON: Legacy (2010)" -- and throws them into a blender together as a means to rectify or better ideas that the author disagreed with or disliked in the new official canon of the TRON Universe. Jet Bradley, the son of Lora and Alan Bradley, and his best friend, Sam Flynn, are pulled into the computer world of "The Grid" and are prompted to fix the problems created by the renegade programs Ma3a and Clu 2.0, who have molded Kevin Flynn's world into their vision of a "perfect system": a system void of free will and individuality, completely unaware of this fact.
