If we were to use the skip as Aradia suggested, and Sollux's re-spawn theory, we would most likely end up being reborn paradoxically. It is likely that those who are now dead and gone would be re-set as well. There is no telling at which point in their time lines their bodies will reform from though. Most likely the time that had the most impact on their conscious person.

Misa pledged her friendship to him when she didn't know he was L, and Light formed a strong bond with L while chained to him. Now both Kiras have a strange scheme to convert L to their side and create a threesome relationship in the process.
This is a captivity situation with bondage but only a little violence and no physical torture. It is what I would call creepy-fluffy where fluffy aspects and dark aspects often coexist together, and some of the story elements have disturbing implications if you think about them, yet things are not extremely dark. If you are looking for dark and angsty you'll probably be disappointed, and if you are looking for pure fluff you'll probably be squicked by some of the disturbing elements.
Note: because of the AO3 software, some weird automatic titles are being generated for chapters, ignore these.
