Summary
His name was simply John Watson, though he preferred to be called - and some of his friends had now reluctantly agreed to do this - Wonko the Sane.
- So Long and Thanks for All the FishThere are three people on Earth who know they are not really part of it; Arthur Dent, Fenchurch, and Wonko the Sane, aka John Watson. They have all lost something and long to get it back, though in Wonko's case, it's also a rather specific someone. Or rather, as he was as surprised to learn as anyone, a specific dolphin.

Summary
Three million years in the past, Lister is mourning the end of his relationship with Kochanski, and is about to take drastic measures to relieve the pain... But the thing about erasing your memory is, you never remember that you've done it. Or more importantly, how many times you've done it.
And now, there was this, offering him an out. And no, he wasn't proud of it, but under the circumstances... With a deep sigh, he pushed the device down on top of his head (it made a rather bad fit), and flipped the toggles on either side. A quiet hum enveloped him, accompanied by a soft flash, and that was that. He'd go to bed, wake up, and remember nothing.

Summary
It isn't love, he tells himself, nor infatuation; this is circumstance and proximity and friendship. Martin is wonderful, and Ben is single and Martin is married, which makes it safe in such myriad wonderful ways; safe to think about him like this, safe to prod the emotion, turn it this way and that as he admires Martin from afar and too close up, and then afar again.

Summary
Prespecified gender roles are like coffee. They're both human constructs, but can be mighty tasty, and some people need them to get out of bed in the morning. When the MJN crew have to fly an infamous blogger to Geneva, they find themselves having to come to terms with things that are a bit more complicated than coffee.

Summary
After Out of Time, Rimmer and a still-dead Lister in stasis become trapped on an uninhabited planet for centuries, and history repeats itself.... somewhat.
"Only the Chosen Ones knew the true name, the others holding their ears in respect and awe. Occasionally, though, a young child would forget him or herself and lift one hand ever so carefully, and would hear the name - oishmegheid, oishmegheid - rising to the sky above. The Chosen Ones would see, of course, as they always did, and they would smile amongst themselves, knowingly, for such was the way. Curiosity was a high virtue of the Sleeper. And so they would remain until the early hours of the morning, chanting patiently until the curtain of the hut, adorned with blessed leaf, would shiver and part, and the Watcher would come out and shout to them his blessing:
"For the love of all that is good and holy, will you goited, gerbil-faced twonkers smegging shut up!""

Summary
Rimmer is back on Starbug, and shagging Lister, but all is far from well. Between a pathologically jealous flight computer, a mechanoid with a fear of abandonment, an annoyingly capable and attractive Kochanski and the fact that no one except Lister actually knows his true identity yet, Rimmer has quite enough on his plate. And, of course, he still has to go out and be Ace Rimmer - multidimensional hero - at regular intervals. You can't break the chain.

Summary
Plain old Arnold is coming to terms with being Ace Rimmer, though the burn of Lister's rejection still runs hot in his veins. Rimmer was given no choice but to leave, as he sees it; Lister forced his hand... but then he meets a man with an entirely different perspective on the situation. What do mechanics do, after all, but adjust things that need fixing?
