Or, Jesse Turner's Fall From Humanity.
A wendigo, a hotel room, and Team Free Will 2.0. You can imagine how well it turns out.
If he was feeling like spouting poetic crap, he'd say they fit together like the stars: if you're far enough away they look close, stupidly, ridiculously close, with barely any gaps between them, but the closer you get the easier it is to see the gaps and if you're in the middle you can see that the gaps are huge, enormous. In-traversable.
Dean's view of Cas soon after they first meet him. Drabble.
A cambion, a vessel and a normal human aren't exactly what you'd expect to make your average hunting trio. Of course, Jesse, Claire and Ben don't make up your normal hunting trio - probably because no one of them knows the whole truth about any of them.
This series deals with those secrets and the effects they have - instances when they shouldn't have been kept quite so secret...or when it'd have been a really good idea to keep that little thing under wraps.
So, Team Free Will 2.0 are basically really crappy at sharing secrets, but some of them come out anyway because they're all pretty astute, so everything goes to shit in every way possible. Over several months. Because they are a dysfunctional trio that I love to write about.
