What if Ozai had scared and thrown aside Zuko much earlier? With Azulon's approval and nothing anyone else could do about it. Only instead of the boy dying like he was supposed to, he was rescued by earth kingdom actors and started to thrive... until everyone found out he was a bender.
Zuko didn't throw sparks until very late. This is a 'Zuko became the Blue Spirit much earlier and stayed in the persona' story.

Summary
Tony Stark has worked hard to make sure everyone sees exactly what he wants them to. After all, they'd all rather see the asshole with the too-bright smile than the terrified person underneath who is desperately trying to conceal that which has caused him so much pain. Trust him, he knows.
(Tony Stark is a mutant, and his father had made sure to note /exactly/ how he felt about that. Now, with the Avengers living with him full-time, it's getting more and more difficult to hide the part of him that almost no one still alive knows about.)

After the battle, Pitch is consumed by his own Nightmares and changed into a creature lacking a true body, losing his identity once again. But this time the sandman, sweet bringer of good dreams, and oldest among the guardians, finds him and decides to help his opposite.
