An interesting take on the Lay of Leithian. I do hope that there will be more, and, I hope some smut?

Wow I feel like I failed to adequately read the tags and was is unprepared for smut. Cause like, it is smut albeit with some foreshadowing. It's good smut too! I quite enjoyed it!

This was a fic I posted on the Silmarillion Writer's Guild in 2016. It was a long time in the writing, and it is one of my favorites. I am posting it again after extensive editing and reworking, so if you liked it before, I encourage you to reread it now in its polished state. And if it's new to you, enjoy! :) It is full of pain.

Not one of my normal ships, but still excellent. It's heartbreaking and the end is absolutely fantastic. I probably should read it again once I've delved into this ship more. It's always a good sign when after reading a fic I decide to explore that ship.

I return to smut. Sigh it's good smut, but like, I just finished reading dawnfelagund's Another Man's Cage and that really spoiled me. Still, this is well written and I enjoyed it. I like humiliation play when written well. Sometimes it can be squicky, but not so in this case.

    Summary

In the Time of the Trees, during the Bliss of Valinor, the young family of Fëanor experience the everyday triumphs and tragedies of life in paradise. But as Fëanor's genius blossoms and his sons grow into their roles in Tirion society, tensions build that will sunder the House of Finwë and drive the House of Fëanor to open rebellion. Please note that this is not the most up-to-date revision of this work; see the Silmarillion Writers' Guild for the most completed revision until I get the opportunity to update the chapters here after the HASA migration.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I finally finished this monster of a fic and thank goodness too, because I have stayed up far too late reading, the past several nights. But I grieve for, despite its length, I wish for more.
The imagery is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and the head cannons fascinating. It's an amazing work that deserves far more recognition and one I know I will read over again many times. I fell in love with the characters for they are flawed and nuanced and beautiful. I want, oh how I want more! I want to see them grow up, to see the births of Curufinwë Atarinkë and the Ambarussa and how their siblings deal with them. Ah, there is much I still want to see from this verse... but it is not to be, and I will settle for rereading this fic, and savoring it.
