Very old fic (one of my first two, I think, ca. 2000/2001), slightly improved. I chose not to rate this because, really, there's nothing worse in it than I encountered in YA lit when I was a teenager - but your mileage may vary. It is Horsemen fic. It's also Watchers fic. Strangely enough (for someone who decidedly does not slash Sam and Gene, usually), my favourite LoM fics to date are the main parts of Mikey's "Undercover" series. Sam/Gene works for me, in this instance, because Mikey addresses both social context and character issues that would make that relationship difficult.
