Stiles has just sat down at the wrought-iron table with her pumpkin spice latte when Erin says, voice heavy with awe, "Oh my god, who is that?"
They all turn to look, Stiles last of all, and she takes a brief moment to be glad she'd already settled her coffee on the table when she sees him, leaning casually against his Camaro not three feet away, looking like something straight out of a fantasy. He's forgone the leather jacket, choosing instead a simple gray henley; the sleeves are pushed up to his elbows, and the fabric clings tight to the breadth of his shoulders, hangs loose from his ridiculous pecs. The way his black jeans hug his thighs makes her mouth go dry. He's staring right at them, mouth curled in a faint smile. She's on her feet instantly, grinning wildly. "Derek," she says, and then she's around the table and throwing herself at him.

Voldemort has made a bargain with Harry to stop killing muggles and muggle-borns (when at all possible, of course) in exchange for Harry's cooperation. While Harry thinks he's using the time to find a way to defeat the Dark Lord, he will realize that Voldemort is always one step ahead, and so long as he isn't killing anyone...what's the big deal? He has bigger things to worry about now, anyway. Includes dementors, pureblood culture, the prophecy, what exactly happened with Lily's sacrifice, magical breakthroughs, children Death Eaters, and portraits of family. Final pairing: H/D. Rogue comes to terms with her name, what happened on the Statue of Liberty, the people in her head, and the choice of the Cure.
Character study of Rogue that touches the first three movies, with references to X-Men: First Class.
Excerpt: On a whim she drives down the street she was born on, the street she grew up on. There are a few fathers mowing the lawns, patches of green, and little boys in overalls run around the porch, weaving between the legs of moms coming back from church in their fine linen gloves and pearls and the daughters in white chiffon dresses and pink ribbons wound around their hats. She tries to think if one of the men wiping sweat from their receding hairlines is her father, if one of the women brushing the dirt smudge off their son's cheek is her mother and a baby brother she’ll never meet, if one of the girls crouched in the grass making daisy chain crowns is the replacement daughter who’s not a freak.

He wonders if the fingers rubbing calming circles into his thigh and the warm, salty breath against his neck are maneuvers to earn his trust. He wonders about Derek's plans, if—once he has Stiles fooled—Derek will rip his throat out.
The thoughts might seem paranoid, except that's exactly what Stiles did to Peter.
