Summary
Gerard has always vaguely liked the idea of being a vampire, in much the same way he's always vaguely liked the idea of time travel, or of being a pirate - but it's only when he wakes up dead that he realises that not all his fans (or friends) are actually human. This is rather a shock to the system, but Gerard does his best to deal with the fact that he's now an undead American, and he's lucky enough to get a little help from an unexpected corner. Just as he thinks he's starting to get the hang of being a vampire, however, everything suddenly goes to hell in a handbasket, and before he knows it there are angry vampires slayers chasing him around LA, and an urgent appointment with the Fairy Queen looming before him...
A story about love, family, metamorphosis, art, trust and geekery.
PLEASE NOTE: I haven't ticked Rape or NonCon in the warnings section because I think that would be highly misleading - the story really isn't pornalicious, and nobody is sexually assaulted. Nevertheless, the first scene (in which Gerard is forcibly turned into a vampire) may be triggery for some readers on that basis, and the question of consent in regard to vampirism is addressed.

Summary
Afterwards she blamed the serpent.
It wasn't a lie, really, because the serpent had been there, and the serpent had encouraged her. In fact it was quite possible that the serpent had arranged the whole thing. But, truthfully, it was not the serpent's urging that made her lips part uncertainly and her teeth slice into the skin of the fruit.

Summary
"So," said John, feeling out of his depth once again. "An owl." It was the same mild, politely curious tone of voice with which he had previously found himself uttering such things as: "So – three bags of frozen AB negative," and "So – a selection of human ears."
"Goodness, John, with deductive prowess like that you'll soon be putting me in the shade," Sherlock said tartly. "Can't sneak anything past you, can we?"

Summary
A Modern day Merlin AU set at the University of St Andrews, featuring teetotal kickboxers, secret wizards, magnificent bodyguards of various genders, irate fairies, imprisoned dragons, crumbling gothic architecture, arrogant princes, adorable engineering students, stolen gold, magical doorways, attempted assassination, drunken students, shaving foam fights, embarrassing mornings after, The Hammer Dance, duty, responsibility, friendship and true love...
This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.
Grateful thanks to Lamardeuse and DarkEmeralds for Beta and cheerleading!

Summary
When a simple extraction on Cobb goes haywire, Arthur loses a friend, gains an enemy, falls in love, and finds out exactly who he is -- give or take a new alias or two. In which Fischer is incepted, Cobb's secrets are property of the U.S. government, and Eames teaches Arthur that PVPing is an excellent life skill to have when you're accidentally becoming a bad ass dreamsharing motherfucker.

This is a dazzlingly original response to the source text; the characterisation is compelling, the story arc is wonderfully engaging and clever, and the whole premise made me grin like a maniac. Loved it as much for the way it reflects online interactions and friendship-forming as I did for its commentary on the movie, actually - the way that Eames and Arthur (and the rest) interact in RL is terribly disarming and plausible, and Geek!Eames is possibly the most adorable thing EVER.

Precisely what I was hoping for from this fandom: long, plotty, detailed, fantastic character-building and backstory AND an engaging Eames/Arthur romance to boot. One of Pru's best efforts, afaic.

Summary
The calling card said Tristan Jarrett, Viscount Penrith. Beneath that, in a lazy scrawl, was the addendum Mr Acklebury, be so good as to wait on me tomorrow, number 10, Half Moon Street. Yours, &c., Penrith. Mr Acklebury was not sure how he felt about being thus summarily commanded to paint his lordship's portrait.

Notes
Arguably the very best piece of fanfiction I've had the pleasure of reading, in any fandom. To all intents and purposes Original Fiction, but with the added bonus of layers of reference which make sense only within the context of fandom.
Protagonists who own a chunk of my heart to the same extent as Elizabeth and Darcy, Beatrice and Benedick, or Alec and Richard St.Vier. Prose that flows effortlessly, and evokes the period in every detail. All in all, an exceptional novel, and one to treasure.

Summary
It's unwise to underestimate the combined effects of a powerful aphrodisiac and Captain Jack Harkness.
Started for the Kink Bingo square: orgy. Became a little more complicated than that. Pairings: a blurring of canon relationships, plus some extra M/M, F/F, M/F/M, F/F/M, and M/M/M. Set early Season Two.
