    Summary

Iron Man has stolen the Infinity Gauntlet, and Steve wants to know why. As the Avengers track his movements, and his behavior continues to get more erratic, Steve begins realize that there is more to this than Iron Man is willing to let on. Captain America and Iron Man have history, and in all that time Steve has never truly seen him as the supervillain SHIELD branded him – until now.

Basic knowledge of the incursion story arc is helpful to follow along, but the story deviates enough that it’s not necessary.

Read all the works by these two exquisite authors. Seriously. This story falls in line with all their other beautiful pieces of artistry. Identity play meets Supervillian Iron Man. Plus the whole Avengers Team is the DREAM. Witty dialogue to match quick paced sequences of thrill and heartache. I actually feel like the way that Iron Man goes about in this story is actually truer to a lot of works where he's the hero. He's the anti-hero here, and brilliantly so. It just... It makes sense. That's all I'm saying, go read it yourself for some seriously amazing scenes and character twists. One of my fave stories, for sure!

    Summary

Tony Stark, an unremarkable day laborer in the gulag in Izhma, has been deemed too much of a liability to be allowed to remain in Soviet control. Steve Rogers, one of SHIELD's top operatives, is sent undercover into one of the USSR's many internment camps with the specific instructions to retrieve him.

The plan was simple, which, in hindsight was the first indication that everything was about to fall apart.

So I read this a couple years ago, was on Tumblr then and didn't have AO3 (plus I was young and dumb to the notion of commenting), read this, gaped for a solid three (roughly, I think?) years until now, when I've healed up and diced my heart up for round 2. Honestly, I remembered most of it (a story this amazing, you can't forget!), but what an amazing pleasure it had been to re-read this piece and be gobsmacked by the powers of wielding words and worlds! Absolutely amazing characterization on all fronts -- they way everyone was interacting, the characters choices/demeanours/motivations/hierarchy -- they were so canon I thought I was reading canon. For reals. THIS IS SIMPLY THE BESTEST STORY TO EVER STORY. This is one of the stories you just never forget. It's top tier. Its just so well done. I could go on and on. I loved reading it again so much and have been anxious to do so for a while now -- mixing in with both my first reading experience and my now second. Can't wait for the third! Any ways, long comment long, READ THIS absolutely stellar work! You will not regret reading this artistry!

Super realistic story telling of trying to blend a family full of faults. Really adorable. I read it a couple years ago and happy chance found it again! Good read. Well written. Sad and emotional. All you could hope for and want out of Stony story! Plus, you know, SuperFamily is the damn DIGGITY best. It's my jam, basically.

Enduring a life without aging meant flipping though friends like playing cards. Some were old and worn, most destroyed, and others gleamed from fresh gloss and fresh ink. The prospect of losing any of them was almost too much to bear, but they got lost all the same. At some point it was easier just to stuff the box in an attic and forget they even existed.

Once again divulging into this masterpiece. Read this back in '15, but damn, so great to read again. I had to bookmark it again so it was recent on my profile so more people can read this artwork. Author is stunningly talented with words. I can't wait to read this once more in a few years time. It's just that amazing. Still chasing after this brilliance, trying to emulate it, but alas a freakin' tough job. Impossible, actually. AMAZING. BEST. FAVORITE. EVER.

also divorce sucks, this shows how no one comes away Scott free. I don't really have to write a little note of recap cause I always have this fic in the back of my mind anyways. STUNNING.
