After they learn Loki survived the fall from the Bifrost, Odin and Thor learn a great deal about Jotuns that they weren't aware of before, and they come to believe that a lot of Loki's madness stems from the suppression of Loki's Jotun nature and sexuality.
Thor was sent to Earth to help Loki. That's what he's going to do, whether Loki likes it or not. The newly formed Avengers are roped into helping out, and team bonding happens an entirely different way.

After touching the Casket of Ancient Winters, Loki winds up stuck in his Jotun form and without his magic. With Odin sleeping and Thor banished to Earth, Frigga decides to send Loki to Jotunheim, accompanied by Sif and the Warriors Three, to negotiate reparations and learn about his people.
But when Asgard comes under threat, Loki must seek out his adopted brother on Earth, and together they must find a way home.
“It’s alright”, Thor tells him, but no, it is not, and he knows it too. “I’ll tell Father what you did here today.”
Loki meets Thor's eyes. “I didn’t do it for him”, he whispers.
(Or: Loki dies, but it is never as simple as that)
She knew she had to be the strong one for Thor, because her husband was engaged enough in convincing himself to believe that he hadn’t just killed their son.
Odin always intended his charismatic son to be the figurehead king, while the clever one advised him and made sure things ran well behind the scenes.
Only now Thor is king and Loki isn't playing. Thor has been insufferable since the coronation was announced and Loki in no mood to sort out the kingdom only for his brother to take the credit. He's not getting involved until Thor begs him for help! (Besides, watching Thor and Asgard flounder is hilarious!)

As an advanced civilization, Asgard also has advanced metal health treatments. Loki realized a little before Thor's coronation that there was something wrong with him and sought out a mind healer. Unfortunately, his healer did not know he was Jotunn and proceeded to treat him with medications designed for Aesir.
When Loki is brought back from his failed invasion of Midgard, people who should have known better start putting the pieces into place. How much of Loki's destruction is he actually competent to be considered responsible for?

The battle of New York was a turning point for the entire planet – but especially so for Bruce Banner. This is a unique chance for him to find the Hulk a place in this world. It is a staggering hope, but unrealistic as it sounds, it might just come true.
And then his hesitant plan turns out to be too successful. Everyone including the Avengers apparently expect the Hulk to take his turn in the spotlight. But the more Hulk thrives, the more Bruce withers, and nobody seems to notice or care. When Loki extends a hand to him, he is fully aware it is a trick – but he has got nothing else to hold onto.
The Avengers realize just a bit too late how royally they screwed up. The sharp-sighted, ever-watching Hawkeye cannot blame himself enough for not having seen this disaster coming. Can they still be saved from Banner ?
Do they even deserve it ?
(The story is set right after the 2012 Avengers movie with slight EMH dynamics thrown in the middle.)
