Summary
When the very last thin wisp leaves his body, Loki sags against the bonds. The guards remove the chains and he nearly collapses on the floor; he’s harmless now. Mortal. Loki spares a moment’s glance upward at Odin, summoning the last of his strength into a glare so vitriol and poisonous – green demanding the return of that which was just stolen, millennia of magic that was his by royal birthright all taken for Odin’s own purposes in an instant. Nothing but a thief and a liar.

No one was here to witness this minor disgrace, no one to begrudge him his punishment - no one to pull him from the lingering discomfort and tend to him, wrap his little cuts and dab at his small bruises. No one was here to fuss, nor to fix, and that was what he liked the best.

Summary
Tomorrow night he had a date with a sociopath; a criminal, Russian sociopath who was known for clawing out the eyes of his enemies. It was easy to dismiss those reports as rubbish when sat in front of the man in question. Chris didn’t seem unbalanced, just arrogant and too handsome for his own good. Back on familiar territory with Ben, the harsh light of reality told Tom otherwise. He needed all his wits about him if he was to come out of this unscathed and still employed.
