Summary
Madeleine is a safe fantasy, because he is not real; he had never been real; and so he is safe. Javert will not look at Valjean the next time they play draughts or visit the Jardin des Plantes and wonder if his hands would feel different from the mayor’s dimly remembered handclasp, or from the touch of the phantom who lives only in Javert’s imagination.
Jean-le-Cric is harder to construct in his mind, because Javert cannot remember his face.
(Or: "Javert thinking about getting doubleteamed by Valjean and Madeleine.")

Summary
"Euphrasia ate like someone who never had enough food—Valyanos recognized it, with an inward shudder, from his time in the mines, before the arena and his wooden sword—methodically scooping soup into her mouth with the bread and cleaning the bowl with the crust until not a single chickpea remained, nibbling the apple down to the barest core."
Valjean and Cosette in Roman Gaul, 38 B.C.E.

In which Montparnasse jumps an old man on the middle levels of Coruscant and gets more than he bargained for; Valjean has latent Jedi mind powers; and Jedi Knight Javert is obsessed with justice and/or Valjean. An extremely cracky fusion AU remix of Volume IV.—Saint-Denis, Book Fourth, Chapter II, plus that scene with Obi-Wan in the bar in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

Summary
They whisper in Toulon that Javert has no daemon. That he is unnatural, cursed, soulless.
Kinkmeme fill, for the prompt "Daemon!AU. Where, instead of the obvious wolf, Javert has a daemon that's small and easily/often hid on his person, to the point where people whisper that he's so soulless that he doesn't actually have a daemon."
