You guys. This is such a great little series. I love it. All of the platonic affection. And John is SMART. He's picked up enough of Sherlock's methods to be able to do a fair bit of deducting himself, PLUS he retains his mind entirely even though his body reverts to 8 years old, so he's an 8 year old with the skills and mindset of adult-john and it's great. The whole thing is. It's gorgeous. Read it.

So I don't know why this series doesn't have WAY more attention than it does? Because it's fantastic.

The storyline is great, fantastically developed, great pacing, and the author demonstrates a really damn admirable spread of knowledge across a variety of fields that really lend a layer of reality and believability to the story as a whole. And it's CLEVER. I've seen stories similarish to this, but this has enough of a different spin and a different enough approach that it's leagues different to anything else I've read. And really damn good. Did I mention that?

Plus, Steve Irwin is awesome, and this person obviously loves him too, so there's some more bonus points right there.

    Summary

Claire Dearing has successfully run Jurassic World for seven years without a major incident.

Trust Owen Grady to fuck that up.

(Or, three months prior to the Indominus Event, Vic Hoskins makes a bad decision, Owen Grady goes missing, and four six-foot, three hundred pound murder lizards escape into Claire's park. She can hear Alan Grant shouting, "I told you so!" from Montana.)

So, this is fantastic. And there's more yet to come, YESSS, bring on the sequel.

Also, Pippin the duck is a beautiful little creature who should be protected at all costs. Sam is, as usual, a wonderfully awesome guy who deserves a variety of medals. And Bucky and Steve's relationship is beautiful and tragic and heartbreaking and the stuff of legends.
