Summary
The Rivendell elves, either because they are dicks or because they don’t know any better, give the dwarves provisions for their trip which include chocolate. Chocolate is an aphrodisiac to dwarves, but since it’s so scarce not many dwarves are aware of this fact. Fili and Kili, the two youngest and most inexperienced dwarves, think nothing of eating the chocolate and Thorin is the one who gets to deal with the repercussions.

Summary
Dave Strider suffers from anorexia nervosa, but he thinks other wise. He thinks that he's just on another one of his diets which consists of not eating and filling himself up with water or rewards himself with eight ounces of apple juice. His brother and his best friend are no fools, and they both know that he's starving himself.
They try everything they can to help Dave get better, even if that means going away to a two month clinic.
