Really fantastic story of suspense, the supernatural, and revelations of the heart. The story is well-plotted, with atmospheric scenes and just the right pacing to keep you going from chapter to chapter in anticipation.

I definitely recommend this AU to folks who want their Sherlock and John with some more emotional depth. The storyline really gives the reader insight to the two of them.

How can you not love a fic that has Remus renovating, Hermione surreptitiously matchmaking--and her employee house-elves bookmaking--while Severus flits about wondering what's come over Lupin? This fic is a real treat and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening.

    Summary

Sherlock should be focusing on the series of brutal vivisections Lestrade has brought to him. Instead he's distracted by a most amazing and unexpected experimental opportunity from the basement apartment of 221C. Will he figure out the one in time to stop the other? And does he need help in order to do it? An AU. Eventual Johnlock.

Very inventive story, with wings and mysterious circumstances, and a juicy case for Sherlock to sink his metaphorical teeth into...if he can figure out what John really is.

Really vibrant and detailed world were people have guardian angels--John being Sherlock's--and Fae are all around if you have the eyes to see them, and evil is tangible with its demons and rage-filled ghosts. Really well done!

    Summary

In which John accompanies Mycroft and Sherlock on a trip North, and encounters more than he ever bargained for.

Warning: May be offensive/squicky/disturbing on a multitude of fronts. I was going to try to warn individually, but I felt I would only overlook something. While notionally a comedy, The League of Gentlemen is dark, twisted, and frequently tasteless, so while I don't think there's anything worse than already found in the show, kindly read at your own risk. Fic-wise, none of the characters suffer any permanent damage, although John may beg to differ.

If you're open-minded, adventurous, and have the imagination to keep up, this fic could be for you! The whole world that's built here is fascinating and enthralling and it just sucks you right in until the end.

It's far, far too short, in my opinion, and I'm not the only one that's encouraged the author to continue the story in this portion of the universe. Really, a very unique experience, with great writing and plotting, and the pacing is so nicely done that you don't realize you've reached the end until there's no more and you're left wanted another chapter, another glimpse of Sherlock and John and Mycroft, or Mummy Holmes or the locals...
