  1. Summary

On July 2nd, 2014, the citizens of Desert Bluffs stopped receiving orders. All was silent and still and dark. There were no helicopters, no electric fences, no grinning and bloodsplattered overseers. There was only the empty street and the night sky. Strex was gone, defeated by someone else far away who didn't care enough to look at what had been left behind.

They were broken, listless, and lost. They were bloody, grinning, and free. They were alive.

The story of one strange, beautiful town that crumbled and the two strange, beautiful women who built it up again.

    Summary

While she wants to simply enjoy herself, Maryam knows it can’t last. She straightens her back, wincing slightly when it pops. Beside her, Jaal’s eyes widen in horror, his voice carrying the same seriousness as if they were on the field, “Pathfinder, are you alright?” And he comes close enough for her to smell the perfume he’d had to ask for permission to bring on board. He reaches out, hesitant, his hands seeming to not know where to go. “Did you... break something? Are you injured?”

Really, being the Pathfinder didn't seem to come with many breaks, so when Ryder got clearance to collect data for the fauna and flora around Aya, she jumped at the opportunity. Taking the extra time to relax afterwards may have been a mistake, especially with her newfound Angaran popularity.

    Summary

The boychik freaks Taako out in a way that few do, unsettling him off of his carefully constructed personality and turning him into a, gods he hates to say it, detective. Why does Angus trot? Why does he call Taako ‘sir’?

Why does Angus care about them?

During Lunar Interlude III, before LUP but post magic-lessons-starting.
