But Tony Stark would have to prove himself first, show that he was capable and worthy of siring the child of Loki Laufeyson.

Apologies were not meant to fall from his lips except in false supplications and occasionally towards the All-Father to spare him suffering. But the fear of someone he loves leaving him is stronger than his objections. When you hurt someone you love you should bend over backwards to earn their forgiveness, give gifts and lavish attention, crawl at their feet if need be. For Loki, sorry is a gift.
