Summary
They do not meet again until 1832, where they have been born as humans for the first time. He knows her only as ‘the Jondrette girl’ who tails Pontmercy, and she knows him as nothing at all. His life is short for a human’s, but full of strength and spirit. Her life is even shorter, and full of impossible dreams and disappointment. They die in the same fight, although they do not share a cause.
