Terribly bittersweet
"It happened that once, in a land far away, a young Auror did chance upon a mighty serpent, trapped in a drying stream, which had once been a river deep and wide, and would be so again, once the Monsoons returned to the land. The serpent's scales were of the deepest green, edged 'round with gold, as though a fire burned brightly behind each one. It had a mane of river black and silver sheen, and its eyes were the scarlet of heart's blood and desire. The Auror knew at once that he looked upon no common creature, but a Naga, and from its size, an old one as well.

Harry's London flat was a small place, but in a good location, worth expanding to fit a roommate—even if that roommate was your least favorite teacher, back from the dead.

Another new favourite. The externalisation of the internal here, the motifs of fire and explosion, love and hate, humming Snape, a Hermione who also had trouble getting over Snape's near-death, clever use of a time-turner, believable first-time sex, a Snape who thinks he's vile yet secretly longs for love and is completely awkward and odd and truly the Half-Blood Prince, a Harry who understands, who is pure soul.

schemingreader's writing is phenomenal. I recommend everything of hers -- from Snarry to Snupin to her fabulous Hermione/Luna. This particular piece left behind an especially strong impression. It reminded me of Enlightenment plays, in a way, where the characters speak their souls, and yet was so much more natural thanks to the beauty and directness of her prose. No one I can think of uses white space to dramatic and emotional effect as brilliantly she does.

Aaaaah, very good war!fic, loved the clever uses of magic, all the plotting and scheming that went on. The smut was very good (but perhaps too ubiquitous) would have loved some more UEmotionalT à défaut d'UST

Not v fond of this too often met 'fanon' Ginny but the concept of the geas, the ~plot and pace of the story were great. Very much loved Snape and Harry's characterizations, too, even if they're neither precisely my headcanon.
Very satisfying and enjoyable read. -

Loved the clever use of mythology(ies) and Tobias Snape, am also always a sucker for a 'heroic' tale. Only thing remiss is the lack of UST and of a nice build up to the attraction/love, something of a constant with snarries, hélas.

Clear, elliptical, wonderfully paced, with just enough self-reflection and emotional growth to make the pairing plausible, this is one of my favourite takes on Harry's bedside observation of Snape's recovery after DH.

A Snarry well worth reading. The Weasleys, Snape, and Harry are all close enough to canon character to be eminently recognizable. Written just post DH (one of my favorite time periods to start a story.)
Snape is both snarky and discovering some positive emotions underneath.
A story to read more than once!

This is an absolute epic. The world (or underworld) in this is so beautifully crafted, and I love getting to see Eileen and Tobias Snape and how they've grown and changed since passing. Albus Severus is a wonderful character as well. But, really, the best part of all of this? Everything gets tied up in a neat, perfect little bow. I love that.
