Lovely old canon compliant story where John loves, marries and loses Mary. Enjoyable despite the sadness because John's grief is realistic without making him weak, Mary is treated with respect (even in death) and Sherlock remains John's friend. And yes, Mary and Sherlock had come to an understanding. Even Mycroft is kind.
