Summary
Follow an elf named Athadra as she climbs out of the long shadow cast by the Circle Tower into a fight she never asked for, whose conclusion is far from forgone. She will know passion, betrayal, anger, terror, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.
Not a scene-by-scene reconstruction; there are several interesting deviations from the standard Origins game throughout. Trigger warning for non-consensual references in several places. Most chapters are 'Teen and Up,' especially for the first half of the story, but several later chapters involve graphic depictions of violence and some very sexual situations. Some of the more extreme chapters will eventually get links to their 'Teen and Up' equivalents at fanfiction.net, where the story is being mirrored. Isabela knows that Hawke is still caught up on Fenris after all this time, even if she would never openly admit to it. Feed up with seeing her friend so depressed, the pirate decides to take matters into her own hands. When Hawke's group stumbles upon a certain former assassin from her past, Isabela quickly hatches a plan with his help to get the lonely mage the attention she deserves, one way or another.
Meanwhile, Fenris struggles to distance himself from the one person he has ever felt any real connection to. Caught between unacknowledged feelings for Hawke and anger at how her magic affects both his markings and his resolve with a single touch, the elf shows his one-time lover nothing but outward disdain while secretly throwing himself between her and any opponent who would dare attempt to cause her harm. This just so happens to include a contemptible Antivan man with a silver tongue and wandering eyes who has taken a sudden and unacceptable interest in his mage.
