Summary
A non-powered serial killer!AU. Charles Xavier, a detective that spends almost a year on the case of the serial killer, the victims of whom are the former Nazi high-ranked officers. The killer has a distinctive style- precise and accurate hit, leaving only a carved ‘EL’ on their faces. Eventually, some clues were left at the detective’s door step, courtesy of serial killer himself. Torn between his duty as the officer of the law and astonishment of the killer’s mind, he arrives back to a place where it all started and where the killer shall perform the ‘confession’ to his crimes.

He tells his sister he has no taste for politics, that he prefers the quiet of the summer estate for his scholarly pursuits. He does not tell her that he hears whispers in his head, and that the scrolls all say one thing about this.

In which Erik is the son of servants, Charles is the son of aristocrats, and hedgehogs make repeated appearances. -- Modern AU that is clearly inspired by Atonement (minus most of the angst, that is).

Summary
A collection of ficlets and snippets inspired by Tumblr and #xmentales chat.
So far: Charles is a cat or a Renaissance-era muse or a professor or an imprisoned high-level telepath or a young man of the senatorial class in Rome or an Oceanid. Meanwhile, Erik is sick or a talented but struggling painter or a graduate student or a spy searching for his missing telepath or a former gladiator-turned-slave or a pirate. Also they are both seahorses. Or fae. Or gods. Or platypuses. Or genetically-modified fruit. Or space travelers. Or on a date. And there's one with Wesley Gibson and Brandon Sullivan. And one with Wesley again, but also Max, Simon, and Brian. And a couple of A/O snippets, one on a boat and one in a bedroom.

Charles has a terrible habit of multitasking, and that is probably why he absentmindedly tells the pizza man that he loves him when hanging up.
Then the pizza man says it back. And Charles is pretty much smitten from there.

Neither Erik nor Charles could ever be accused of being social; each of them hides from the world in different ways. They make an exception for each other, for a limited definition of exception.
Then one of them asks for an actual meeting.

Summary
It never bothered Charles that he essentially belonged to someone else from birth. In fact, he felt quite the opposite. From birth he had been told stories about that mysterious boy called The Prince, or his Betrothed, and who one day would be called Husband. Charles would catch his thoughts drifting off while in private lessons under strict, stoic tutors, learning the piano under painful raps to the knuckles, locked away, looking at the sun through stained glass, his mind slipping into the hazy day dream of his life yet to come...

Summary
"Good God, Erik thought. The Prince of Wales is gay."
Charles lives in the unceasing glare of the public spotlight, yet keeps his sexual orientation a closely held secret, afraid he could lose his throne and force his deeply troubled younger sister into a role that would crush her. Erik, journalist and world traveler, has been a loner most of his life; he has little patience for closet cases. But a chance meeting in Kenya brings these two opposites together and sets in motion a love affair that will challenge the British monarchy -- and force them both to change forever.
