Dean Winchester on the other hand is an alcoholic and unsuccessful writer that can't get over his brother's death.
Both are broken and hate their lives. Together they make it a little better for themselves. -

It ends up being nice background music, but he never assumed the musician would end up being anything more for him. Now his life is all kinds of complicated and writing is hardly the most difficult thing he has to deal with.
