Summary
Stiles laughs. “The day I become a mail-order bride is the day I eat my hat.”
“You don’t even wear a hat."
“I’ll buy a hat for the occasion,” Stiles says. “A white one with a veil.”
(Stiles doesn't eat a hat, but that's just because he's too busy with his new husband, his five children, his new husband's ex, and a deadly feud with the neighboring ranch)

Summary
There is no escape - we pay for the violence of our ancestors. - Frank Herbert
The sheriff brings the criminal to justice, and the bounty hunter chases after the outlaw, but who is there to go after life's monsters, to protect the innocent from what lurks in the night? Just the hunter, the knight out of myth and legend, the hero who picks up a sword to slay the murdering beast.
It's a noble burden, a bright and shining path, until the lines begin to blur and it's no longer clear who, exactly, the true monsters really are.

"I need to find a wolf," said the sheriff's kid, voice full of gusto. Derek set his cigarette in his empty whiskey glass. He let the silence between them settle, though it was drowned already by the band tinkering away by the bar. He waited until the boy was blushing, unsure and tense, before responding, slow and languid: "You found one."

When Perry came into the Saloon, Harry looked up from his game of cards. He glanced at Perry, taking in the long coat over neat clothes, the confident stride, the way he took off his hat as he crossed the room. Deciding that no, not a potential hustle victim, Harry went back to his current hand.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is amazing, the world is amazing, the charecters are amazing, the ending is amazing. Perfection. If you haven't read it, you're missing out, even if you don't like the pairing.
