Dean Winchester and his younger brother Sam are finally without a hunt, and they can deserve to relax and get on with their lives at school; that is, until Dean meets Jimmy Novak, a piano player and generally nice guy who is being used as a vessel for an angel, bringing him torment and turmoil. Dean promises to help Jimmy by getting rid of the angel called Castiel, freeing him from the pain. However, the brothers find themselves slowly becoming friends with Cas, despite initially vowing to kill him, and he proves helpful as they track down a Japanese ghost who turns her victims into frosted corpses. But who will they choose to stay in the body of Jimmy? Can they break their promise to their human friend and let him suffer for the sake of Cas, or will they have to murder the angel so that Jimmy can have a normal life again?
