Sam wasn't expecting the rope.
He might have had a crush on Dean all year, might have stolen more than one admiring glance at the drum captain's well-developed arms and shoulders as Dean played. Sam might have fantasized about being pressed tight against the senior's hard chest, running his hands over that flat stomach and below, to cup the bulge that, in Sam's fantasy, was always intimidating and large.
It's even possible that the freshman had filled more than one sketchbook with the hard lines of Dean's back, the delicate tracings of his eyes, the smoothness of his cheekbones, rough and finished sketches of Dean's figure from behind, from the side, standing, sitting, on his knees.
Perhaps that's why Sam had simply nodded and obeyed Dean's commands, despite his twinge of anxiety when the older boy told him what he wanted to do.

Summary: In a cruel and capricious society where slavery is the norm, first born children or Primes become masters, all younger siblings become slaves or Secs at the age of sixteen. Second born son, Sam Winchester, has evaded his fate and helped others do the same while attending college and living as a Ghost, but his luck has just run out.
