John and Rose go on a vacation like proper grown-ups. The week that they arrive at the small village on the coast of Washington, a dead whale washes up on the beach. It is a far bigger deal than it should be. The whole town, Rose included, stares at the whale like its some blubbery second coming.
Essentially, John and Rose do not have the strongest marriage and stuff happens, because I am a big fan of the trolls throwing at least 8 wrenches into the humans' relationships.

Summary
Thor and Jane didn't start some crazy, never-gonna-work, failboaty romance. They just didn't. Thor's happy off with Sif or whoever and he just loves Jane like a sister or whatever. Deal? Deal.
Clint didn't take this particular assignment because he thought it looked fun or it gave him real purpose or any of the other stuff you always hear the rookies spout off, Clint took this because it was far enough away from any and all situations he was looking to avoid.
Throw in a gorgeous astrophysicist, her quirky sidekick, and some serious threats to national security, and you can find love and all those other emotions thrown about like confetti at a parade.
And Clint and emotions aren't the most cohesive things in the world.Here be Clint trying to figure out just what's going on, Jane trying to accept there are things other than science, and Darcy laughing at the idiots that think they have things so under control.

Other than being able to see ghosts all his life (well, maybe only the one), Bilbo Baggins is perfectly normal and not at all extraordinary. Having recently completed his studies, he is embarking on a new career at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts (which has nothing to do with witchcraft, thank you) and meeting new coworkers and neighbors, including a kindly old man, a rambunctious pair of students, and a very condescending curator from London.
