I read this before, but the link for the podfic just popped up in my tumblr so I read it again. I'm so glad I did! It's hilarious, and moving, and adorable, and I just love the idea of Derek and Stiles being basically engaged from the age of 4 and 5. Well worth the read!

Summary
The first time Derek hears Harvey’s name, he’s losing blood in the passenger seat of Stiles’ jeep. The situation is frightfully familiar; Stiles is alternating between checking to make sure Derek is still conscious and the screen of his cell phone, still dull with the lack of response from Scott, and he’s chatting aimlessly the whole way through. Derek has long since given up on trying to get Stiles to shut up. It keeps the kid calm, and if Derek is being honest with himself, it keeps him calm too.
After the first few times, Stiles’ ramblings start to ground him, give him something to hold onto while he wills his body to hill or Scott to find an answer, or Deaton. Stiles talks about everything and nothing, keeping himself away from panic as much as he’s keeping Derek conscious. After a while, Derek starts to listen.

Summary

Every big city has its share of organized crime. This city is no different, having a long-term association with the Hale family crime organization. The problem for this particular city, however, is that the crime has been getting steadily worse each year. In part due to Peter Hale's leadership, which is ruthless and cunning, and in part because of his highly effective nephew Derek Hale who has taken on the mantle of his family upon his parents' deaths.
Nobody has been able to infiltrate the Hale family using conventional covers. A guy couldn't just hang around one of their bars until he looked familiar enough to one of their goons to start asking about some action. They were too good for that. Way too good for that.
And someone has to take them down.
But there was only one route left. A difficult route. A new face that none of the Hale family's informants would know. And a young enough face to fit the profile of the sort of boy Derek Hale might... recruit.
