Summary
After the fall of the Terran Empire, the Alliance took control of the Alpha Quadrant, subjugating the lesser races, including Terrans and Vulcans. Some Terrans, like Kathryn Janeway, work for the Alliance while others, like Beverly Howard, fight against them in small resistance cells. When Kathryn's work stumbles onto the secret to finding a ghost fleet, Beverly 'rescues' her and brings her to the Terran side. Intendant Ro looks for ghost fleet on behalf of her Empress while rebels and pirates scramble to claim it before something darker than the Alliance finds them.

Summary
Q's side lost the Civil War in the Continuum. The winners promptly condemned all of humanity to live in Earth's solar system, quarantined away from the rest of the galaxy. On Earth, two groups of humans and a single Q survivor of the losing side each devise strategies to break the blockade of Earth, while out in the galaxy, disgruntled Powers, Federation citizens, the only other Q survivor, and a lone human hero all work in their own ways to get revenge on the Continuum or to save humanity.
