But his protege showing up at the Batcave with two small children, Tim and Jason, clinging to him proves he's adopted one trait Batman would have rather he hadn't. It seems the batfamily has an incurable penchant for picking up strays, and Tim and Jason are only the beginning.

This is the Clex + Conner + Tim + Young Justice series where evil!Lana gets smacked down like the b!tch she is, Lois takes Clark for granted, and Lex and Clark end up getting along Because Martha Kent Said So.
...And then Gar ate the flowers.
(You can blame twilighthdfan for all that madness, by-the-by -- it was her list of prompts/requests that led to this end :)
And then we learn a little about human-alien relations and mild biological differences, but, really, Lex is ok with this.
...Until Clark Turns Evil and makes Lex beg.
(You can blame Megabat for that last one. Lex sure as hell does.)

This stems from an idea I had where I thought that Tim, with all the shit that happened to him, was the one that I could see snapping, mentally. Jason’s already been there. He’s seen the signs. He’s shocked Bruce doesn’t recognize them. So Jason keeps Tim. He keeps a now mute, wide-eyed, broken Tim, who isn’t able to identify anyone but him anymore.
