Summary
Loki has saved Midgard from Jotun invasion and earned a place as an Avenger. First step is to visit Asgard for Odin's pardon. After that, the second step is more difficult to discern.
He returns to Midgard, and his place in what is now Avengers' Tower and, with him, goes his brother, who has now begun to act strangely. Frigga cannot be right with her suggestion that the Thunderer feels love for him, can she? The kind of love a man feels for a woman or another man (...or in Loki's case, for a stallion, or a Jotun giantess as well)?

In response to a jumbled mix of prompts set before me and a plea for me to take them on and make something of them, behold!
An AU wherein Thor is working with the Avengers on Earth both as a way of preparing himself for kingship but also as a means of improving diplomatic relationships between Asgard and Midgard. Celebrating a victory by throwing a feast for himself and Captain America in honour of their most recent successful partnership, Thor could not have anticipated the turn the evening would take when his comrade in arms and his little brother are found in a compromising position by Odin and Frigga, or that they would demand such a price of Earth - and of Loki - as redress in the name of Asgard's honour.
But is it truly out of care for Loki, or are there deeper machinations at work?

Summary
Short summary: This is a story where everyone starts by pushing each other way, and ends up by living happily ever after. It's a story where Loki has to work for his happy ending, because you shouldn't be able to go around calling people "puny mortals" and trying to kill them and such, and then immediately get welcomed back and loved by the Avengers. And Tony has to work for his too, because being rich, talented and charismatic shouldn't automatically get you everything you want.
It's also a story with a major Hulk-rampage in it. But that's not for a while.

Thor is already an adult during the war against the Frost Giants and goes to war with Odin, but is not there when his father finds Loki. Since the war took time he is easily fooled into thinking that his mother was pregnant and had a child while they were away.
He helps raise Loki and learns his lessons about war and being a better king through his baby brother.
