Jensen's a mischievous merman with a soft spot for landfolk. Jared lives in a seaside town. When Jensen is no longer content to watch life on land (and Jared) from afar, they finally meet.
This adaptation of The Little Mermaid is not a retelling. It's influenced, however, by the Hans Christian Andersen tale as well as by the Disney version.
