Summary
Hyrule's future lay in a vast desert. After the Great Sea dried up, the Great Desert was born. The magic has all but dried up, as well. The races of Hyrule have survived using new technologies. After the Age of Rail came the Age of the Gun.
In this dry and desperate country, it has come time for a desert-bred young Hero to take up the gun, the sword and his courage to try to bring some green and hope back to the land.
