This story is a follow-up to my previous fic All Along the Watchtower. The main story will begin approximately four months following the Cuban Missile Crisis, though the prologue occurs in 1944. I strongly recommend you read AATW first if for no other reason than I am vain. If you don't, you may wish to read the portions of Chapter 23 which describe the new mutants I introduced. You may also wish to read Chapter 5 of AATW, but not for any reasons pertaining to this fic. I just think you might want to read it because it contains a detailed discussion of the plausibility of an individual being a 'motherfucking cocksucker' and in this uncertain economic and geopolitical climate, I think trenchant semantic analysis of profanity is something we all need.
