Summary
Almost three years after Sherlock's death, John is a best-selling author with a new book approaching publication. He is thrown head long back into the world of deduction by the murder of “thehonourable” Ronald Adair, a Sherlock Holmes conspiracy theorist, who was killed by a professional hit for no apparent reason.
While taking down the second-to-last man in the Moriarty web, meanwhile, Sherlock becomes desperately ill, and makes a mistake that costs him his identity. Frantic and hallucinating, he automatically calls John for help, unwittingly bringing Moran on to his trail.
With Schonberg and Moran each after Sherlock’s blood, and his condition deteriorating rapidly, John, Mycroft and Lestrade are in for an international race against time to keep Sherlock alive long enough to get him back from the dead.

Once I pretended to die. I let them bury me. I let them mourn. Once I wasted three years of life pretending that I had left this world. Now I would give anything to have a single day of that time with him.
Requested to forget 'the worse news you can hear from a doctor'. This is what wrote itself in the middle of the night with my heart in my throat.
