Telesilla gives what honey can come from the mouth of a muse: words, caresses. Liquid and sticky; lingering. Full of all that she would have said in their future years. Aegiale’s mouth on hers is wet, washed with tears, and her fingers at Aegiale’s arms grip tight, bruise.
