One of the many things Bruce Banner picked up on his (admittedly unchosen) travels around the world was a love of tea. Now back in New York, and living in Avengers tower, it's one of the little habits that he's brought with him, and one of the ways he makes sure to have a little personal time. Tea is an oasis of calm in the middle of a life which is far from routine. Gradually, though, the team start to need that little oasis of calm too, and one by one, time after time, they come and talk to Bruce, just to find some space to think, and sometimes for a little gentle advice, or a push in the right direction.

Summary

Andrew is a soldier. That's what he tells himself on the nights were he remembers the piles of dead at Torfan. When he puts on his uniform, and the insignia reminds him of the face he must bear for his men and his people. The past haunts him, and he hides behind a curtain of hate. No one can see.
Paxton is the damned. She is the only one to have walked away from Akuze, only alive thanks to her biotics, joined by the faces of those who perished by the thresher maw. She lives in a dark void, where the shrieks and the smell of blood are always close under the surface, and she just wants peace. An end, to what never truly left her ten years ago.
All three of them receive the same call in the year 2183: report to Vancouver for classified assignment on Normandy SR1. Mission details pending.
Follows the plot of the first Mass Effect.

He didn't deserve to have anyone watching his back, but he felt like maybe they deserved to have him watching theirs. So, when he saw the sad, sorry living conditions of the other Avengers, he couldn't help but do something about it.
