Summary
The Nerdstuck fics are set in an alternate universe in which Alternia became uninhabitable due to the death of a nearby green sun. Shaken and with heavy casualties from the loss of their planet, the trolls attempted to regroup using their many colonized slave-planets, but were rebuffed repeatedly by local rebellions. Desperate, they eventually stumbled upon Earth, where the Condesce struck a grudging deal with the United States of America (and, later, the United Nations). The trolls were granted amnesty, and were gradually phased into American society. This caused about as many problems as you might expect.
Read either ROLL FOR INITIATIVE (following John and Equius in 2013) or THE BATTLE OUTSIDE RAGING (following Bro, Meenah, and Kankri in 1992) first!

Summary
There's a doomed timeline where everyone just said "fuck this" after everything went to shit and quite literally hacked their way out of the game, pausing only long enough to bust their dead friends out of the dream bubbles. It's amazing how much of a challenge Alternia still is, after everything these kids have done, but if Sgrub couldn't keep them down, a little thing like the Alternian Empire certainly isn't.

Homestuck/Apocalypse AU. On an Alternia inhabited by trolls and humans, it was prophesied years ago that when the birth of the Son of the Messiah came to be, the world had only five sweeps remaining until the end. A baby boy is found on the steps of the MatriChurch, and is given the name Karkat Vantas--while a necklace of the Signless is found around his neck. The sign of the Messiah. Hidden away by his surrogate mother-sister Kanaya and her fellow Sisters, it is hoped that the prophecy won't come true--but when meteors are sighted on his fourteenth birthday, and demons and angels come a-knocking, the end seems to be coming, and there are two fates ahead of Karkat: kidnapped by the demons, who use his power to burn the world, or kidnapped by the angels, who use his power to 'cleanse' the world. As a last ditch effort, Kanaya elicits the Seer of Light's help, whose cousin is the Knight of Time--a Knight who will be paid handsomely if he can safely escort Karkat to the mysterious Altar of Blood on the other side of the planet, perhaps the only possible third option that will stop The End. The only problem? It's looking like Dave's falling for the New Messiah, whose blood will be spilled regardless of the option they choose.
