Summary
As the Company recuperates at Beorn's house, Kili is captured on a solitary hunt and presented to Azog by a band of rogue goblins. After days of searching, Thorin believes his sister-son to be dead, abandoning the rescue and continuing on towards Erebor. But Kili is very much alive. And as time passes and hope of rescue fades, the youngest heir of Durin is forced to forsake his family ties, the customs of his people, even his own humanity, in order to survive.

Summary
Bilbo finds out that dwarves have zero concept of anal sex or rimming and winds up having to explain it to Thorin, to his great embarrassment. Later, the explanation gets more in-depth and eventually gives both Bilbo and Thorin more than they bargained for.
This began as a comical smut one-shot but eventually took on a life of its own as a massive Bagginshield vs Kilbo love triangle. It has become a tale of love, pining, heartbreak, family, and sacrifice. But there is still smut. I'm still me, damnit.

Or maybe he's never been told because John Watson ran away from home, then darted around Middle Earth trying to stop a serial killer, and fell in love with an Elf. Along their way to the Lonely Mountain Gandalf will tell Bilbo and his Dwarven companions the story of Sherlock the Brilliant and John Watson the Fearless, and maybe, just maybe, Thorin and Bilbo might find their own path to the same place.
