Summary
Comfortably solitary and hardened by the pandemic-stricken world around her, Brielle Emerson stumbles upon an injured man in the woods. After a tense first encounter, Brielle and her dog begrudgingly follow the man back to a farm filled with a group of outbreak survivors. Brielle struggles to play nice with the man who led her to safety and acts against her instincts when a terrifying mishap forces her to stay on the farm for an extended period of time. As Brielle begins to warm up to the people who have taken her in and reveals the motivation for her survival, her well-being is threatened by someone who seems to know more about her past than she ever anticipated.
This is part one of an extended work which will include very strong language, graphic violence, death, flashbacks, and numerous original characters. Enjoy!
