Summary
The Winchesters find out that angels do not reproduce the same way as humans. Castiel explains that his vessel is not pregnant, his grace is simply splitting to make a new angel. But, even the best laid plans sometimes go awry, especially when Heaven is involved. When the Apocalypse is nigh and Castiel is running out of grace, Dean takes it upon himself to take care of Castiel and the new angel and ends up learning how much the angel means to him. Sam on the other hand, must make amends with his own angel.

A very old, very powerful demon is creating huge witch covens to end the world "like Lucifer didn't." And in the middle of it all, Dean and Cas have some serious UST problems. Then Gabriel decides to step back in, it all goes downhill faster than anyone thought possible.
Set in a parallel timeline after 'Remember The Titans" where Bobby is still alive, Cas is still an active part of their life, and Gabriel was faking his death.

Sam and Gabriel have been getting closer and closer to each other after Gabriel finally chooses a side. After several months, Gabriel makes his move, of course though, since Sam is Sam he reacts a little too slowly and sends Gabriel the wrong message. The Archangel disappears for two months.
Sam and Dean are out on another hunt with Castiel tagging along, they go their separate ways and Sam ends up lying on the floor basically dying any guesses as to who saves him?
Why, Gabriel of course.
Now Sam finally has the chance to tell Gabriel how he feels, hopefully he doesn't screw it up.
