Summary
Harvey doesn’t like to lose, that’s no secret. There are times he wishes he hadn’t won, a whole box of cases from his time as an ADA, people he put in jail that didn’t deserve to be there. Every win was not, at its core, one that really perpetuated the good of humanity. But then, Harvey has never thought of himself as someone possessing a particularly large moral compass. Besides, winning feels good. The thrill of being right and on top and powerful is what keeps him going in the insanity of his life, keeps everything on track and in line. Winning is what he’s good at. So when he fails to win and maintain the position in Pearson Hardman he knows and loves, loses that position to Pearson Darby and Scottie, of all people, Harvey is a little unbalanced. He shakes the man’s hand, admits defeat like a man, and lets Ray take him home.
