Adam is exhausted, worn out by so much of his life being on show. It is good to be home, back in his own bed, back in his own head, and properly back in his lovers' arms. It is nice having time to catch up on, or remember, the things that really matter to him.
I wrote this ficlet while listening to Alicia Keyes' "If I Ain't Got You". I was of two minds whether to add the song to the story. I liked the song's statements about fame and fortune being meaningless without love. And I was thinking about how Adam's private life really is that, - private.
So I added the song. You might like to listen while you read.

I hated the way House went starting at season 4. They brought in talentless Olivia Wilde and acted like she was an Oscar winner. They gave us Amber Volakis and Kutner to take them away and then for no reason focused way too much on Taub when they should have been focusing on Huddy.
They gave Wilson cancer, made House into a parody of himself, and seemed to forget Cuddy was ever a character. Rachel was brought in, so was Dominica, it was just a God awful mess starting in season four. So thanks to fan fiction I'm writing an alternate time line.
I am adding in an OC, writing different timelines for characters, keeping some, throwing out others and hopefully just making the show into what I always wanted it to be. There will be major character deaths but considering the fact that at this point in time they aren't major characters, I don't think it counts.
The OC is Leila Dawson, she will be explained as we go along. She's going to play kind of an important part but not overly so, it'll just be changed to if someone like her was in the show. There will be X-Rated material here, multiple pairings, but the most important one will be Huddy as this will be a Huddy driven series.

The best fic for R/E. I cried almost constantly while reading- kept having to wipe away the tears so I could see the screen. The writing style is beyond perfect, and the work and research put into this is beyond my abilities. I'd wax poetic, but this author could no doubt do that for themself, and far better than I.
